Hi,
Using renderpipe, when I place a geosphere with a sky map applied on it, and a direct light inside lighting a building (i must simulate the sun movement through the sky moving a direct light, as well as simulate clouds passage rotating the geoesphere), i get a black scene.
Instead of that, if i use an omni light, in this case it works (but it's not the same effect i need).
Somebody know’s the solution to this?
Thanks.

hello,
A direct light is everywere. So, you can put inside the geosphere or not, it's the same.
Your problem is your geosphere wich cast shadow .
1_ make your geosphere 100% illuminated .
2_ right clic on your geosphere > property > uncheck receive shadow and cast shadow.
Now your scene is correctly setup and your sun can light inside the geosphere
TO do the clouds animations . Try an other way.
Maybe add a spot light wich not cast shadow and don't do specular.
add a map or a animated map ( or fractal noise ). your light is now like a gobo .
You can project and move clouds easly and xactly were you want.
Play with intensity , map curves, light move, positive or negative intensity, light color ...
hope this help you
