finally my profile...

i am 25 years old, live near zurich, switzerland, and study architecture at the ETH in zurich.
i am interested in 3D and animation for about 12 years now... not very efficient in the beginning, but with reading a lot of technical literature. yes, i may say i know a lot, not really based on the hardware side, but on the side of know-how (it just has to run rock-solid an damn fast, i don't care about anything else).
i started with adobe dimensions, a kind of 3d program back all these years, continued with a demo (?) version of strata 3d, then cinema 4d, lightwave 3d and now maya...

i really like dark music:
heavy, speed, trash, black and death metal, but i also like gothic, ebm (electric beat manifest) and darkwave tunes, and so on...
i admire artists like H.R. Giger (favourite swiss, of course), Luis Royo and other artists from the genre.
i used to draw a lot with pencil, rollerpoint pen, and also airbrush.

3D is my favourite hobby at the moment, next to working out (up to 3 times a week, if possible).
i used to play volleyball, but gave it up because i couldn't handle it that our team captain (stupid SOB, rot in hell!) took away my girlfriend... ok, that's seven years ago... but it still haunts me...

Are you Swiss French, or German?
Some day I'd like to get to Zurich! Beautiful place. I've done some work for Bolliger and Mabillard roller coaster manufacturers there, and have some contacts.

My son is learning German in school, and seems to enjoy it. It is strange working with people from different companies from Switzerland because some are French, and some are Greman, and they would often revert to English as a common language.
Good luck looking for 'the one'. That is a very elusive thing!

i recently made my diploma in architecture... master degree...
currently working in a landscape architecture office to earn some money to be able to take the mentioned 3d classes in LA.

Hey Dead-I am really into EBM music too-especially bands like VNV Nation, And One, Neurotic Fish, Melotron, Assemblage 23, Icon of Coil, ,and so many more. If you're into myspace, I am at myspace.com/pepster3d I check my messages there every few days.
Another interesting fact is I have family in Zurich too. I have always wanted to visit but have not had the chance yet. It looks beautiful there!
